My name is Christoph Köhn and I am currently a researcher at the Danish Technical University (DTU) in Lyngby. My research topics are:
- Streamer properties
- Runaway electrons in lightning
- Terrestrial gamma-ray flashes (TGFs) and positron beams from lightning
- Modelling of secondary electrons of cosmic particle showers
- Nucleation of aerosols and dust on Earth and exoplanets

Besides that I am interested in general relativity and quantum field theory.

From January 2012 till September 2014 I was the chairman of the PhD activity committee organizing activities for PhD students, such as beach parties, movie nights or gaming nights.

In 2014 I obtained the Dutch exam NT 2 (Dutch as second language).
In 2018 I obtained the Danish exam PD3 (Danish proof).
